The inspiration for this painting came to me during a vacation in Greece. As I lounged by the pool, I found myself unexpectedly bored—a paradoxical feeling. We spend an entire year anticipating our holidays, yet after just four or five days, I often feel ready to return to the familiarity of my daily routine.
