When creating this piece, I wanted to capture the quiet warmth and elegance of blooming roses through atmospheric color and rich, tactile layers. I painted the soft pink roses using expressive, textured palette knife strokes, setting them against a backdrop of rich golden ochre, warm sienna, and subtle accents of deep turquoise. By building up the canvas with both thick, sculptural impasto and delicate glazes, I created a luminous, multi-dimensional texture that catches and shifts beautifully in natural light.
