In this large-format panoramic piece, I moved away from the water to explore the rhythmic energy of the Swiss Wiesen. This painting is an abstract tribute to the meadows of the Swiss plateau in mid-spring.
I used a dense, layered application of "sap green" and "lime" to represent the incredible fertility of the alpine soil, punctuated by flickers of yellow and pink to evoke the wild dandelions and fruit blossoms that define our landscape this time of year. It is a celebration of growth, light, and the vibrant, messy beauty of nature returning to life.
