About the artist
Born in former Czechoslovakia, my early academic training at Comenius University in Bratislava combined literature and fine arts, forming the conceptual foundation that continues to ground my work today. In 2011, I began a journey abroad, moving first to the United States and later to Switzerland, where I have since established my life and artistic practice. Living and working between cultures has profoundly shaped my perspective, strengthening my focus on identity, inner resilience, and emotional autonomy.
After a long period away from the canvas, I returned to painting with a renewed clarity of vision. Today, my practice is devoted exclusively to contemporary abstract painting, with a strong emphasis on large-scale original works.
I explore emotional presence and atmospheric depth through a signature warm, golden palette. Reminiscent of autumnal light, these tones are chosen specifically to evoke a sense of stillness and relaxation. My compositions are built through an intensive process of intuitive layering—sometimes applying up to 20 layers—allowing the "footprints" of each stage to create a beautiful dialogue between simplicity and complexity.
Exclusivity is central to my philosophy. I create every painting as a one-of-one original—never reproduced, never printed, and never repeated. Scale also plays a defining role in my practice; I believe large formats allow the viewer to experience the work not only visually, but physically and emotionally.
Based in my studio in Zug, Switzerland, I create statement artworks designed for sophisticated contemporary interiors. My paintings are intended to establish a sense of tranquility and presence—works that do not seek attention, yet quietly command it.
