Switzerland, Mon Amour is an expressive abstract diptych-style composition that maps out a playful aerial journey across the Swiss terrain. Divided horizontally into two contrasting fields, the canvas reads like a treasure map of memory, blending structured symbols with spontaneous, energetic brushwork.
I filled the upper section with a vibrant palette of bold bubblegum pink, rose, and soft coral, placing sweeping curved strokes alongside a soft green cross to honor the Swiss motif. Below, I allowed the composition to settle into a cool expanse of icy white, alabaster, and soft grey, evoking snow-capped alpine slopes. Accenting the lower field with cobalt blue, emerald green, and a soft blue cross, I built up the surface using translucent acrylic glazes and thick impasto textures to balance expressive warmth with crisp, open space.
