This piece is my personal love letter to Lake Lucerne. I wanted to move beyond a literal recreation of the shoreline and instead capture the feeling of standing at the water’s edge at dawn. I focused on the way the alpine mist softens the world, using broad, gestural strokes to blend the peach of the rising sun into the deep, cool blues of the lake. For me, this painting is about that fleeting moment of perfect stillness before the day truly begins.
