In this vertical piece, I wanted to capture the raw, atmospheric power of Central Switzerland in transition. I used thick, expressive impasto strokes to turn the sky into a churning sea of charcoal, slate, and steel blue.
I focused on that singular fracture of light piercing through the heavy clouds, casting a luminous, ghostly glow over the misty horizon of Lake Zug. By contrasting the turbulent, textured sky with the dark, rugged shoreline, I aimed to create a powerful sense of movement and drama.
"Storm on Lake Zug" is my study of nature’s volatility—a balance between the weight of a gathering gale and the quiet beauty of a silver lining. My goal was to bring the moody, tactile energy of the Swiss elements directly into your space.
